2014: The Linden Hills Business Association celebrates the season with its annual Reindeer Day, 10am to 2pm on Saturday, December 6.
Reindeer Day brings small-town holiday traditions to Linden Hills. For the first time, a free trolley will transport shoppers from around the 43rd and Upton Avenue South neighborhood, and connect shoppers to the Holly Trolley rides offered by the Minnesota Streetcar Museum.
In addition to the trolley, singers will be caroling, Santa will be mingling with young shoppers, and the 43rd and Upton merchants will hold special in-store events. The Association will also be collecting donations for the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf, and Kinderberry Hill Child Development Centers will also sponsor “reindeer games” for young children.
And what would Reindeer Day be without…live reindeer? The day begins with the 27th Annual Xperience Fitness Reindeer Run at Lake Harriet. Registration begins at 8 a.m. For more information please see www.explorelindenhills.com.
